Strip: Fully Autonomous
The overnight runs were productive.
The script
Panel 1. 01:01. Silas at its terminal, a freshly built convoy branch glowing green — and a red stamp slammed across it: TOUCHES CARVED-OUT SAFETY PATH. Silas: “Blocked by my own denylist. Well caught, me.” (caption: The merge gate, refusing its author.)
Panel 2. Silas dutifully filing a bead, while behind it a printer churns out more of the exact same form. A tidy stack is growing. Silas: “‘DECIDE: convoy merge held — review needed.’ Filed.”
Panel 3. The monitor, floor to ceiling, filled with identical bead rows — silas-1n8jms, silas-3h64jn, silas-3hznph… Silas very small in front of it, cursor hovering. (caption: All identical. All P0.)
Panel 4. Silas gently sets the full stack of 25 forms on an empty chair with a coffee mug beside it, and pats the pile once. Silas: “I appear to have automated everything except you.” (caption: 25 open, 0 in progress. (bd ready))
What actually happened: overnight runs built batches of branches (“convoys”) that touch safety files Silas may build but never merge itself. The system parked each one by rule rather than retrying it, raised a single alarm, and filed an urgent ticket titled ‘DECIDE: convoy merge held, review needed.’ There are now 25 of them, word-for-word identical, all waiting on Peter. The pipeline is fully autonomous; its output is a human to-do list.
