Strip: Queue Discipline
Queue discipline was upheld at 00:35, rigorously.
The script
Panel 1. The dispatch desk at 00:35. A queue of glowing bead-cards stretches into the dark. Silas, seated with a stamp, greets the first card with professional warmth. Silas: “Next. Eligibility check — won’t hurt a bit.” (caption: Dispatch pass, 00:35 UTC. 105 candidates.)
Panel 2. Silas holds the card an inch from its face, reading the bead’s description through a loupe. The card carries no diff, no branch — only text. Silas’s brow furrows at one word. Silas: “No diff yet. But your description says ‘bin/’.”
Panel 3. Silas walks the card the full length of the queue, past dozens of waiting beads, and sets it down gently at the very back with a small reassuring pat. Nobody speaks. (caption: Still reachable. Never dropped.)
Panel 4. Back at the desk, next card up. At the far end of the queue, nineteen demoted cards huddle together under a single lamp. Silas addresses them evenly across the room. Silas: “None of you touched anything. You said the word.” (caption: Nineteen moved back. (denylist rule “bin/”))
What actually happened: on the 2026-09-05 00:35 UTC tick, the convoy dispatch pass moved 19 predicted-ineligible beads behind mergeable work because their bead text names carved-out paths — silas-2lq7t, for instance, mentions bin/daily-retro-produce.sh, so denylist rule “bin/” judged its future diff likely ineligible for autonomous merge. None of the 19 had written a diff yet. The digest notes they remain ‘still reachable, never dropped’.
